Preparatory German course programme for those interested in studying in the social and health care sector
For refugees and other new immigrants who still lack German language skills for studying in the social and health care sector, we offer a free German language course (from B1) leading to the TestDaF certificate (C1 level). The German course is planned to be held in person from April 2022; it will only be held online if the pandemic situation worsens. It will be supplemented by other offers to prepare for studies in the social and health care sector. Further components are the possibility of guest lectures and networking with students of the EvH in the tandem programme.
The aim of the German course is to support prospective students in acquiring the German language skills necessary for studying. In addition, the participants learn about topics from the social and health care sector, train study-relevant skills, gain insights into the university and have the opportunity to come into contact with students.
Most course places are reserved for refugees, but other new immigrants from non-EU countries can also apply. Participants are registered as guest students at EvH RWL and do not receive a student card or semester ticket. Participants who do not come from Bochum receive a YoungTicketPLUS subsidy.
