EvH-Kulturprogramm: NAUTILUS

07.05.2018 / Ort: Studio (Raum 013)

Trygve Wakenshaw (pronounced: trig-vee) is a great performer who specialises in physical comedy. He´s very funny with his body and his face an his ability to turn a black box theatre into a strange and magical world which charts the contours of his imagination.

NAUTILUS is the third and final instalment in the Underwater Trilogy of solo-shows with aquatic titles. Our hero twists and contorts himself into different characters. Smart animals meet stupid humans. A dinosaur prepares himself for a long slumber. Jesus walks on water. Rapunzel looks for love.

These sketches are carefully interwoven and characters return in unexpected situations. This energetic and hilarious show contains scenes of mime with undertones of veganism, jokes, comedy, cowboys, stagehands and crabs.

Awards include: Best Comedy Adalaide Fringe 2015, Best Comedy Perth Fringeworld 2015, Underbelly Edinburgh Award 2014, Best Comedy "The Fred" NZ Comedy 2014, Best International Act, Busan International Comedy Festival 2016.

Nominations include: Foster´s Edinburgh Comedy Award 2015, Barry Award 2014, Golden Gibbo Award 2014, Total Theatre Award 2013.
