Erasmus+ BIP: Diversity and Inclusion for Social Cohesion (DISCO)

Theme: How to meet the o/Other?

Partner Universities

What?

Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) combine a short, intensive joint stay in one of the partner universities with online work that facilitates international and interdisciplinary learning. The programme involves teaching staff and about 4-10 students from each institution and will offer many moments for cross-country group work and comparison, supplemented by expert input on topics such as inclusive language, intersectionality, and disability studies. We will reflect on our local contexts in the light of (re)discovering Bochum as a site for intervention. This year, we are collaborating with the Bochum Center for Disability Studies (BODYS) to focus particularly on accessibility and disability studies and we will join a half-day conference as part of the 10th anniversary of BODYS.

Important Dates

  • 17th October 2025 - Online Kick-off
  • 10th – 14th November 2025 - Intensive week in Bochum
  • 13th November 2025 – public half day of conference in Bochum to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Bochum Center for Disability Studies

The BIP will award 5 ECTS upon completion.

Financing

The stay is financed via Erasmus+ via your home institution. Please contact your international office for details.
