Welcome to EvH Bochum!

Students of our partner universities are cordially invited to spend one or two semesters as exchange students at our university! We offer ERASMUS students and other exchange students study programmes in German and English language and a stay in a warm and familiar atmosphere.

International Semester Programme (ISP)

Study a complete semester in English and receive 30 ECTS credit points for it! Every summer semester, EvH Bochum offers an English-language semester programme: The International Semester Programme (ISP). The offer is specifically aimed at students in the fields of social work, diversity, welfare, inclusion and related areas.

Language requirement

Exchange students need the following language skills for studying at the EvH Bochum (according to CEFR)

• Bachelor students participating in the German-language study programme: B1 in German
• Bachelor students participating in the English-language International Semester Programme ISP: B1 in English
• Master students (no English programme available): B2 in German

Application

Students from partner universities apply to the International Office at your home university. If your home university has nominated you for a stay at our university, please finalise the following steps by the application deadline mentioned below:

• Fill in our online registration form
• In addition, please send the following documents by email to
  International@EvH-Bochum.de

After the application deadline, you will receive all further information and documents for the further organisation of your stay. We will also support you in finding accommodation in Bochum and in all other administrative matters.
