Innovation-Labs are focus groups that are formed at regional level to address social issues. They are accordingly placed at the 5 locations of the cooperating universities (Aachen, Bochum, Cologne, Münster, Paderborn) and thus cover all regions of the state of NRW. At the same time, however, the labs work across locations and in a topic-oriented manner to achieve synergies and expand the scope of action in the regional innovation system.
The aim of the Innovation-Labs is to initiate and implement practical transfer, develop a supra-regional transfer network and strengthen the regional innovation system. The knowledge and experience gained at a practical, regional level is fed back to the conceptually working transfer agency to develop new and better transfer formats. The Innovation-Labs put special emphasis on participatory formats.
The two Innovation-Labs located at the EvH RWL have a key expertise in the fields of Diversity and Disability. Contact persons in the two Bochum Innovation Labs are:
Sinem Malgac
Sinem Malgac works on challenges related to the inclusion of people with disabilities. The work is strongly participatory: Great importance is given to the participation of the target group. Against this background, Sinem Malgac deals with reasons for social disadvantage and exclusion and develops concepts for their reduction.
