The feral woman archetype - the other, the witch, the deviant - has always posed a threat to the constructed order of capitalistic societies… and been persecuted for it.

In the solo-performance work The Feral Womxn, Jemima Rose Dean deconstructs the origins of capitalism and its relationship to womxn’s rights in order to understand how the demonisation of the feral womxn was fundamental to the privatisation of land, control of (work-force) reproduction, colonialism and environmental exploitation. Through the disciplines of contemporary dance, voice and physical theatre she performs various embodiments of the feral womxn in an effort to stage resistance.
